The purpose of this ministry is to bring people into relationship with God through the power and influence of music and the arts. The creative gifts are only a tool used to bring people into the presence of God so their lives and individual ministries can be effective for His Kingdom

GOALS

• to provide a place of support and friendship that allows each of us to grow musically, creatively, spiritually, and to operate effectively
• to encourage artistic excellence and spiritual sensitivity in everything we do
• to assist in the discovery of spiritual gifts that can be used in the body of Christ
• to find the most effective use of each member's gifts and abilities
• to find avenues of ministry that reach outside of our department and have an impact on our church body, surrounding community, and others for Christ

Music Ministries

Restoration Choir - The Sanctuary Choir provides worship music for our weekly worship services and other designated services. In addition this group is involved in seasonal musical projects including the annual Easter and Christmas productions.

Drama Minsitry Acting Up!- The Drama Ministry is an exciting drama team ministry that exists to convey the Word of God in a dramatic manner and to show its relevancy to everyday life situations. Drama team members are selected through an open audition or interview process. Generally, rehearsals are held 2 to 3 weeks prior to scheduled performances. Characters for the annual Easter production are chosen in December and January. 
Performances include ministry emphasis skits, dramatized sermons, dramatic songs, and plays.

Worship Team -  The Worship Team consist of a talented group of band members and vocalists that minister in our weekly services. Membership for regular and alternate positions are available for strong musicians with a great heart for worship.   Weekly rehearsals are scheduled on specific Sunday afternoons from 2:00 - 4:30.

Worship Orchestra

Green Light Gang Children's Choir -  The Green Light Gang is the premier children's choir at Restoration Church of God. Although we provide musical involvement for all of our children through seasonal musicals, this choir reaches beyond that experience to give training and additional ministry opportunities for your kids.

Green Light Gang is open to all children in grades 1 through 6. Members are selected though an interview process in August each year.

We have great plans for a year filled with exciting music and fun experiences. The choir meets on Wednesdays from 6:00 - 6:45 beginning in September. The first session goes through the middle of December and then the second session is from mid January through Easter. Green Light Gang members also serve as our children actors in our Christmas and Easter productions.

Technical Arts -   The Technical Arts team is a multi-faceted group that handle the technical responsibilities of our weekly services. Included in this area of ministry are:

Sound technicians
Audio/visual technicians
Computer personnel
Tape duplication personnel
Tape sales team

Training is made available for all positions. With a team effort the ministry time and commitment schedule is flexible. This area provides a wonderful opportunity for computer and technical persons to be highly effective in ministry.
